Food Drive – Social Service Team

This term, our amazing Year 12 Social Service Captains Pippa D and Aimee S, along with the Social Service Team, have been hard at work collecting food for Anglicare’s incredible ‘FoodBoost’ food drive.

As the cost-of-living continues to rise, more and more Victorians are relying on charitable organisations to help them put food on the table. It’s our belief that no one in Victoria should ever go hungry, and so we have teamed up Anglicare, a not-for-profit dedicated to tackling this issue head-on for vulnerable Victorians.

Today, our students and staff from all corners of the school came together in casual attire, generously donating an abundance of non-perishable food and goods. “It was heartwarming to hear how our younger students went shopping with their families, carefully selecting the perfect items to contribute,” said Rev Michael Prabaharan.

These contributions will make a significant impact by supporting homeless individuals during the chilly winter months. The overwhelming support we have received has allowed our Social Service Committee to sort and fill over 70 large boxes!

Thank you to every single person who has made this food drive a tremendous success. Together, we are making a real impact and ensuring that those in need have access to nourishing meals. Let’s continue to spread hope and love throughout our community!
