Da Vinci Decathlon Champions

We are thrilled to announce that our Mentone Grammar Year 8 team emerged victorious against 30 other schools at the Da Vinci Decathlon, held at Overnewton College on Wednesday 3 May!

In this academic competition, students work in groups of eight to solve complex problems across various disciplines such as engineering, code-breaking, science, and English.

The team put up an outstanding performance by bagging the following accolades:

• Overall – 1st place
• Mathematics – 1st place
• Code Breaking – 1st place
• Ideation – 2nd place
• Engineering – 2nd place
• Science – 2nd place
• Legacy – 2nd place
• Cartography – 3rd place

This is the first time Mentone Grammar has achieved first place overall at the Da Vinci Decathlon, and we’re incredibly proud of our students!
