Claudia Hollingsworth: Paris Olympics 2024 Bound

We are extremely proud to announce that Mentonian Claudia Hollingsworth (Class of 2023) has been officially selected for Australia’s Olympics team at Paris 2024!

Claudia punched her ticket to Paris by claiming the 800m national title in Adelaide on 14 April 2024, recording an incredible personal best time of 1:58.40 in one of the fastest 800m races ever witnessed in Australia.

To put Claudia’s achievement into perspective, her time is now the second-fastest 800m time EVER recorded by an Australian woman, and it also sets a new Australian under 20 800m record!

We would also like to give a special mention to another Mentonian – her coach Craig Mottram (Class of 1998) – for his unwavering support to Claudia throughout her remarkable journey.
