Athletics Premiership Success 2024

Well done to our outstanding group of athletes who participated in the AGSV Athletics Championship at Lakeside Stadium on Wednesday 11 September 2024. We are excited to report that our Girl’s team reigned supreme again, securing their fourth consecutive premiership! The Boy’s team also showcased their talent with a podium finish, securing third place. 

We would like to give a special shout-out to Matilda W (Year 9) for breaking two AGSV records in the 800m and 1500m. 

A huge thank you goes out to our Year 12 Captains, Lily P and Oliver F, along with Vice Captains Ava B and Benjamin S, for their outstanding leadership both on the track and in the field.

Beyond the remarkable achievements of the entire team, we also want to highlight the extraordinary individual performances that shone during the AGSV Athletics Championship. Mentone Grammar celebrated a total of 37 wins this year! Numerous athletes displayed their incredible talent and commitment, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who witnessed their impressive feats. From breathtaking sprints to remarkable jumps, these athletes challenged their limits and achieved outstanding results.
