WE RAISED OVER $28,000 FOR THE WORLD’S GREATEST SHAVE!
We are thrilled to announce that our Mentone Grammar Community has raised an outstanding $28,097.34 for the Leukaemia Foundation through our participation in the World’s Greatest Shave 2023! This amount is nearly double what we raised last year, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Did you know? Our efforts will provide over 50 weeks of accommodation for families facing blood cancer who live far away from life-saving treatment. The funds will also help the Leukaemia Foundation support people living with Blood Cancer and their families, with things such as transportation, accommodation and emotional care and support.
Mentone Grammar would like to congratulate the twenty-eight students from Years 5 – 12 and two staff members who ‘Shaved for a Cure’ in support of the Leukaemia Foundation’s fundraising campaign. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported their peers and teachers, making it easier for them to be brave during their shave.
A special shoutout also goes to our Social Service team, particularly our Year 12 leaders Reva and Mackenzie, who organised this wonderful event on Friday 31 March. They worked hard to organise the casual dress, sausage sizzle and live music.
We are also proud to announce that over the past 10 years, Mentone Grammar has raised a huge $162,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. Our collective efforts have made Mentone Grammar one of the top three fundraising schools in Victoria this year, and we are proud to be one step closer to achieving the Leukaemia Foundation’s audacious goal of no lives lost to blood cancer by 2035.
The support from our whole School Community has been incredible and we thank you all for your generous donations.
