Olympian Natalie Titcume visited Eblana students this week. Natalie is a Softball player for Australia who won a bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, 2000 Sydney and 2008 Beijing Olympics and a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Natalie’s visit excited and inspired our students to strive for greatness, showing them that dreams and achievements are attainable through determination and effort. Mr John Nolan, Head of Eblana, said “There are many areas in life in which to achieve. During the London Olympics 2012 we will see many sporting achievements. Let us encourage and inspire our young Eblana students to strive and achieve through our guidance and role modelling.”
Olympic celebrations continue at Mentone Grammar, with many activities including a Mini Olympics in the ELC and a Year 5/6 Olympic Parade.
