Countdown to Z-24 hour Run for Zaidee's!

With less than 24 hours to go, it's getting exciting with a massive $10,000 raised for Zaidees already! We are excited to have Tamsyn Lewis (Manou) Australian athlete join us for the start at 4pm and other personalities have been lined up to visit during the marathon event. After the outstanding success of the Mentone Grammar 24 hour event in 2011, the boys and girls of Mentone Grammar will again endeavour to complete the task of running for 24 hours on treadmills - in the Mentone Grammar Z-24 event - after being touched by little Zaidee Turner's story, where students will be raising awareness and money for Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation for organ and tissue awareness. 

This year's event is driven by Year 11 students Kristian Bjarnason, Georgia Coutts, Stephanie Coutts and Jake Bloomer, with the challenging event commencing on Friday 14 September at 4pm - the students will cross the symbolic finish line exactly 24 hours later on Saturday at 4pm. Sporting celebrities and Zaidees Ambassadors will make appearances throughout the journey, together with members of the school community, to show their support for the runners and for the Zaidee's Foundation. 

Mentone Grammar students have already begun raising funds for this year's event, with all money raised going directly to Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation. This year the team have set the impressive target of $24,000 in 24 hours.
