New appointment for Deputy Principal David Baker

Mr David Baker has been appointed as the next Principal of Gippsland Grammar School.

A message from the Principal, Mr Mal Cater: "I am delighted to advise the Mentone Grammar community of the appointment of Mr David Baker as the next Principal of Gippsland Grammar School. l am thrilled that David has achieved such an outstanding professional appointment but, as you can imagine, disappointed that we are losing such a high calibre member of staff. Appointments like this reflect very favourably on Mentone Grammar and the calibre of staff we have here.
 
David will commence at Gippsland Grammar School in January 2013 and will continue to serve this School until the end of Term 4. Advertisements will be placed this Saturday for the position of Deputy Principal – Operations. We can expect to have an excellent field for this position based on our recent experience of advertising executive appointments. Ideally, the position will be filled for Term 1, 2013 but this will be negotiable. I will keep the School Community informed through the Messenger of the progress of this appointment.
 
I am sure we all congratulate David on his appointment. We will farewell him at various functions later in the year."
