Bayside Aquatics offers outstanding swimming programs by highly experienced staff to MG students and the local community.

Located in the Mentone Grammar indoor Aquatic Centre, on the campus at the corner of Como Parade and Lucerne St, it is ideally positioned for use by our students and staff. Some lessons are also held in the school's outdoor heated pool.

Swimming is an integral part of Mentone Grammar's tradition with the school having a proud history of swimming success at all levels. MG Students from Prep to Grade 5 have swimming lessons once per week, as part of their curriculum. The swimming program covers stroke and survival techniques, distance swimming and general water skills. Students are also able to obtain levels in Royal Life Saving.

MG Students also have regular access to the pools for swimming events such as House Sport and other cocurricular activities such as survival and first aid training.

Squads

As students progress through their swimming they can also become part of the School Swimming Squads from grades 2-5. This involves training sessions on Monday and Wednesday mornings.

AGSV (Associated Grammar Schools Victoria) Squads

Students may also train for selection in school and other competition squads. Bayview Aquatics also provide swimming lessons to the general public and school groups.

Services offered include squads, fitness sessions, aqua aerobics, private lessons, birthday parties and lap swimming. Places fill fast so enrol early to avoid disappointment.
