Eblana (ELC - Year 4)

Mr John Nolan, Head of Eblana

Eblana was the name of the home where ‘sub-primary’ classes were held between 1965 and 1976.

The Eblana learning program is renowned for providing children with a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy so essential for future learning.

Adopting the latest in literacy and numeracy initiatives, whilst mindful of the needs for pastoral care, particular to young children in their formative years of learning, we embrace exciting programs to develop skills, acquire knowledge and foster a love of learning.

Our pre-school students enjoy their friendly surroundings, together with an extended outside play area. The teachers in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) work within this very welcoming facility to bring to life the wonderful world of the pre-schooler with all its discoveries and adventure. Emphasis on creativity and imagination are integral in this well-structured and disciplined setting.elc.jpg

The Eblana Learning Centre provides specialist classrooms for IT, Science, and Art and Design. Students have a class teacher who is the primary provider of their instruction and the family’s daily reference point regarding their child’s progress. In addition, these specialist areas, along with the nearby music and performance facilities, provide regular opportunities for students to explore their personal gifts in encouraging and enabling circumstances.

The emerging sporting talents of our young students are catered for with internal competition and access to external competition in a range of sports.THP_MGS_Dec09_0214_750px.jpg

Variety and breadth are characteristics of the learning experience in the Primary Years – our goal is for all students to have 'special moments' as they discover their own talents and passions!

We look forward to welcoming you to Eblana.
