Master Planning
Master Plan
At the April 2010 Board Meeting the School's latest Master Plan was adopted. The Plan is designed around our growing school and continuing to provide high quality facilities at all three of our campus sites - Mentone, Keysborough and Shoreham.
Mentone Grammar has developed over $25million of capital works in the last ten years including the development of the Don Ingram Centre, the Sports and Function Centre, the Glass Classroom precinct, the enhanced Information Communication Technology facilities in Frogmore, the Aquatic Centre, the Science Wing, and, this year, the Eblana Learning Centre. The facilities on offer at Mentone Grammar are of a very high calibre and, as guided by this Master Plan, will continue to improve over time.
Major developments of the Master Plan are highlighted on these schematic drawings.
Current Developments
Mentone Grammar is constantly reviewing the facilities available to its staff and students. Currently plans are being reviewed for a Year 9 Campus on the Mentone site and an Arts Centre which would house Music, Drama, Dance, Creative Arts and a 450 seat Theatre. This building will, when finances permit, be located on the site on the corner of Lucerne Street and Como Parade.
Other projects which will be undertaken in the years ahead will include learning centres which accommodate our growing Middle School (Bayview), the provision of increased passive and active recreation space and an administration centre.
The School is dynamic in its planning knowing that educational change is constant. A very proactive approach is always undertaken in relation to providing staff and students with the best resources possible.
